A coffee tasting fundraiser was held for the Tyler Foundation on Saturday at 202 Entertainment Inc. on Daniel Shays Highway in Orange. Those attending were able to sample and order a variety of coffees from Deanís Beans, of Orange, and an organic hot cocoa. A silent auction for Red Sox/Yankees tickets was also held. The foundation was established by Erik and Heather Plotkin, formerly of Athol, to financially assist families of children with a brain malformation resulting in seizures who are being treated at either Childrenís Hospital, Boston or UMASS Medical Center in Worcester. The foundation is named after their son Tyler, who has epilepsy. A blood drive for Childrenís Hospital is scheduled for Saturday, May 19, at 202 Driving Range. An appointment is required. There is no charge. For more information on the foundation, log onto www.tylerfoundation.org.
